The Training Centre of the European College of Kosovo offers English language courses according to Pearson Language Test for science Master and Ph.D.
Training Centre of the European College of Kosovo is licensed by Edexcel (Parson Company) for Training and Testing for Pearson Test of English.
All participants who pass the test are certified with a certification issued in UK.
A short description of the course and test:
This is a course dedicated only for preparation for exam and aims to prepare the candidates for the English Language Exam according the Pearson Language Test.
These tests are recognized by a large number of institutions around the world, at the same time they are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science in Albania, according to Decision no. 14 for the recognition of language tests.
These tests are recommended for all those students who want to measure their linguistic competence of English, or to certify the knowledge with a standard test which is internationally recognized.
In particular, these tests are recommended for all those Kosovar students who study in master and doctoral levels in Albania, where one of the criteria for completion of the master and doctoral studies is to pass am English language standard test from those which by ME in Albania, where Pearson Test of English General is in the group of tests accepted by ME in Albania.
This course is based mainly in the exercising of practical tests and improving of techniques for testing, as this test measures the language competence in the four skills:
• Speaking, writing, reading and listening, than this course or how it is shortly called PP will prepare students in these four skills.
The speciality of these courses is that the test can be taken for certain levels e.g. if one candidate wants to be tested in the level B2 than he/she is tested for that level not like it happens in TOEFL or IELTS where the candidate cannot be tested for a certain level, but the level is set according the achieved pints in the test.
The other special of these tests is that the certificates of Pearson Test of English do not expire and can be used as evidence for the recognition of English Language wherever that is required.
The test have two parts, the written test where the skills of listening, reading and writing are tested and the oral test where the speaking skills are tested.
The evaluation of written test is done in UK with the system called ePEN (Electronic Performance Network), while the speaking part is assessed by certified examiners of the testing Centre.
