GuestSpeakers for 2015/16

One more example to prove that European College of Kosovo is one of the most innovative and interesting institutions of higher education in Kosovo. “Learning from Leaders" a special academic program established by the European College of Kosovo, which focuses on open lectures with important personalities from the academic, scientific and professional world that intend through presentations transmit to the students their theoretical and practical knowledge and prepare them for the labor market and the challenges in front of them. For two semesters at the European College of Kosovo have been invited more than 16 Guest Speakers who obviously to the students and staff of the European College of Kosovo presented the challenges of the future, success stories, and presentations in different topics. This initiative of European College of Kosovo aims to modernize the way of studying and offer a different approach toward knowledge and success.

Thank you to the following Guest Speakers that were part of the “Learning from Leaders” program:
 

Mrs. Rondinella Hoxha-Gashi, Managing Director of the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana who to the students of the European College of Kosovo introduced the topic "Importance of cooperation and possibilities of studying at the University of Ljubljana".
Mrs. Katharina Ertle, DAAD representative in Pristina has introduced the Education System in Germany and the opportunities to win scholarship to study Bachelor, Master and PhD programs at German Universities.
Mr. Filippo Maria Capitanio, from Italy through online lecture presented more about "START UP" and two of his companies which were established from zero. MADE IN LUX Company is the digital platform through which are sold handmade jewelry by the most popular Italian designers, while the FOOD MADE IN enables traditional Italian food to be sent abroad.
Mr. Azem Bujupi, Director of RTK Radio has presented to the students and staff of the European College of Kosovo the following lecture "Management of Media and its role in Kosovo." It is worth noting that Mr. Bujupi has a long experience in the field of journalism and that obviously this lecture had a special importance.
Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Jusufranić, Rector of the International University of Travnik to the students and staff of the European College of Kosovo through online lecture introduced the topic "Economics of Enterprise - modern Enterprises - The survival of a company in modern globalization".
Mrs. Valdete Daka, Judge of the Supreme Court of Kosovo and President of the Central Election Council has introduced the topic "Organization and Management of Elections in Kosovo - The role of the CEC". Mrs. Daka is known for her experience and professionalism she has shown throughout these years in the justice system and the electoral system in Kosovo.
Mr. Dieudonne Alley, from Paris who is part of a expert network of the European College of Kosovo through online lecture talked more about "Communicating as a leader" with a focus on three main parts: preparation, process speech and actions after the end of speech.
Mr. Behgjet Shala, Executive Director of the Council for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms, (KMDLNJ) has held a lecture on "Human Rights and the Role of (KMDLNJ)". Mr. Shala spoke more about the history of the human rights and KMDLNJ role in Kosovo
Mr. Lulzim Fushtica, National Adviser for Public Security / Community Safety at the US Department of Justice ICITAP and the Ministry of Internal Affairs gave a lecture on "Presentation and Communication Skills”. This lecture made many students curios and obviously had a special interest.
Mr. Theobald Volkmar main leader of the Legal Reform Project in Kosovo within Kosovo GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation) gave a lecture entitled "The aim of the European Union". Mr. Volkmar has introduced the basics of creating, functioning, powers and institutions of the European Union.
Prof. Dr. Isa Bicaj - On the occasion of the anniversary of independence of Albania, in European College of Kosovo has been invited Prof. Dr. Isa Bicaj who held a lecture on "Independence of Albania in 1912" and has introduced more about the centuries-old Albanian efforts to achieve her lifelong goal of an independent and sovereign State.
Mr. Johannes Pfister, Mrs. Sarah Kupke from Germany have presented non-governmental organization "ThinkCamp" which conducted a series of study tours and supported eco-social entrepreneurs in recent years to promote sustainable development. They talked about their experiences on new approaches to learning, for social businesses oriented towards the future and promoting transformational change in Europe.
Mr. Stefan Fusers, from Belgium, presented the organization "Unconditional Basic Income Europe" associated with unconditional basic income that allows us to live in autonomy and dignity. In this case he spoke about a simple idea for a complex society which allows everyone to live according to the ideals of his / her development and contribute to more reasonable and stable democracy.
Mr. Safet Gërxhaliu, President of Kosovo Chamber of Commerce has held a lecture on "The Role of Economic Development Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo".
Mr. Ylli Zekaj, Executive Director of the Chamber of Advocates has held a lecture on "The Role of the Bar on the Judicial System in the Republic of Kosovo".
